    Tofu Bhurji Sandwich

    This is one of my all time favourite recipe. I make this quite often, i either use paneer or tofu in this, some times i even use egg in this. I love making sandwiches for breakfast, lunch or dinner or even to satisfy my sudden hunger cravings.

    Ingredients for Tofu Bhurji Sandwich

    • Oil - 1 tbsp
    • Tofu or Paneer - 1.5 cup crumbled
    • Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
    • Tomato - 1 chopped finely
    • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - ½ tsp
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Coriander Powder / Malli podi - 2 tsp
    • Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
    • Cumin Powder / Jeera Podi - 1 tsp
    • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
    • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp finely chopped
    • Bread Slices - 6
     
    This is one of the easiest sandwich you can ever make. I made in a toaster but you can make this in normal tawa or a grill pan if you want those fancy grill marks. 
     
     
    This is a great recipe to put in kids lunch box. If making for kids you can even add some grated cheese over it and make it . It will be so tasty. This sandwich along with some ketchup and some fruits will make a great filling and healthy sandwich..

    How to Make Tofu Bhurji Sandwich

    1. Heat oil in a kadai, add in onions, salt and sugar. Cook till it turns golden.
    2. Add in the spice powders and tomatoes. Add a splash of water and cook till the tomatoes turn mushy.
    3. Add in the crumbled tofu and mix well. Add corianderleaves and toss well.
    4. Take a bread slice, spoon some filling in, sandwich with other bread and toast it in a toaster or grill pan or a tawa.
    5. Serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1 tbsp Oil
    • 1.5 cup crumbled Tofu or Paneer
    • 1 medium size Onion chopped finely
    • 1 Tomato chopped finely
    • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
    • Salt to taste
    • ½ tsp Sugar
    • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
    • 2 tsp Coriander Powder / Malli podi
    • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
    • 1 tsp Cumin Powder / Jeera Podi
    • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
    • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves finely chopped
    • 6 Bread Slices

    Instructions

    • Heat oil in a kadai, add in onions, salt and sugar. Cook till it turns golden.
    • Add in the spice powders and tomatoes. Add a splash of water and cook till the tomatoes turn mushy.
    • Add in the crumbled tofu and mix well. Add corianderleaves and toss well.

    Tofu Bhurji Sandwich Recipe Step by Step

    Take all your ingredients
     
     

     

    take your tofu block
     
     

     

    Crumble it little
     
     

     

    Heat oil in a pan
     
     

     

    add in onions
     
     

     

    season with salt and sugar
     
     

     

    saute them well
     
     

     

    cook till golden
     
     

     

    add little ginger garlic paste
     
     

     

    saute for a min
     
     

     

    add in all spice powders
     
     

     

    saute for few sec
     
     

     

    add in tomatoes
     
     

     

    mix well
     
     

     

    add a splash of water
     
     

     

    mix well
     
     

     

    cook till tomatoes turn mushy
     
     

     

    add in tofu
     
     

     

    toss well
     
     

     

    add in some coriander leaves
     
     

     

    mix well
     
     

     

    take your bread slices, i used wheat bread
     
     

     

    take a slice
     
     

     

    spoon some filling in
     
     

     

    cover with another bread slice
     
     

     

    both sandwich done
     
     

     

    put it a toaster
     
     

     

    toast till golden
     
     

     

    serve
