    Vanilla Sheet Cake Recipe with Step by Step Pictures. Delicious vanilla flavoured simple sheet cake recipe sprinkled with confetti which taste so delicious and moist. 

    Vanilla Sheet Cake Recipe

    I baked this cake for my little one (my sister's son). He absolutely loved it. It is super easy to put together, the cake itself is super fluffy and light. The frosting I used is cream cheese frosting which paired beautifully with this cake. The sheet cake has a subtle sweetness which goes well with the slight tang of the cake. Whipped cream frosting can also be used instead of cream cheese frosting.

    About Vanilla Sheet Cake Recipe

    Sheet cakes are perfect recipe to make for any parties or gatherings. You can make a big batch of the cake in no time at all and it is easy for sharing too. This vanilla sheet cake is one such recipe, it is made with basic ingredients like flour, sugar, milk, oil and vanilla. I added confetti into the cake to make it colourful and presentable.

    Cream cheese frosting is what I used in this cake. I preferred slightly tangy frosting over overly sweet frosting like buttercream. Chocolate ganache or whipped cream frosting can be used too.

    How to Make Vanilla Sheet Cake at Home

    Pre-preparation

    Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a sheet cake pan ( I used 6x9 sheet pan or similar to that with parchment paper and set aside.

    Make Cake Batter

    In a mixing bowl. Take eggs, vanilla and sugar in a bowl and whisk well for 2 to 4 mins till light and frothy. Add in oil and milk and mix well till creamy. Add in flour, baking powder, salt and fold gently.  Finally sprinkle in the confetti and fold gently. Spoon the batter into the sheet pan and bake for 15 mins or so till the cake is springy to touch and baked.Remove the cake from oven and let it cool completely. 

    Frosting the sheet cake

    I used cream cheese frosting. Frost the cake with the frosting and top with sprinkles. Slice and serve.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1⅛ Cup All Purpose Flour Maida (135 grams)
    • 1 ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
    • ¼ teaspoon Salt
    • ½ cup Oil (120 ml)
    • ¾ cup Sugar (150 grams)
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
    • ½ cup Milk (120 ml)
    • 3 tablespoon Confetti Sprinkles
    • Cream Cheese Frosting
    • Sprinkles for decorating

    Instructions

    • Mix the batter for the cake gently. DOn't over mix the batter else the cake will turn dense.
    • Use melted butter instead of oil for better flavour.
    • Confetti is optional, you can skip that.

    2)Take eggs in a mixing bowl.

    3)Add in vanilla extract

    4)Add in sugar

    5)Mix well till frothy.

    6)Add in oil

    7)Whisk really well.

    8)Add in milk.

    9)Mix well.

    10)Add in flour

    11)Add in baking powder

    12)a pinch of salt.

    13)Fold gently.

    14)Now cake batter is done.

    15)Add in sprinkles

    16)Fold gently.

    17)Spoon onto baking sheet.

    18)Bake till done.

    19)Spread frosting over it.

    20)Decorate with sprinkles to make it colourful.

    21)Slice and serve.

    22)Enjoy.
