    Aloo Paneer Curry

I like to create new side dishes for our daily roti or paratha to make it special and not boring. This is one curry which I made recently and it turned out so yummy. The curry had its own creaminess without the addition of cashews, cream or milk.

    About Aloo Paneer Curry

Shallow fried paneer and potato cubes are cooked in a medium spicy, delicious, and somewhat cream onion tomato sauce in Aloo Paneer curry. Punjabi Aloo Paneer Curry or Masala is another name for this dish. Heavy cream, also known as malai, is used to make this paneer gravy creamy and rich, just like many other paneer gravy dishes.

    Ingredients for Aloo paneer Curry

Potatoes - The potato has a medium starch texture, is slightly creamy and dense, and has a delicate skin. It adds a hearty taste and texture.

Paneer - Paneer is cubed and added in the curry. If you are unsure about the quality of paneer, you can fry them first before adding in the curry.

Onions & Tomatoes - Like all Indian curries, onions and tomatoes form the base of the curry.

Poppy Seeds - Poppy seeds, even when plain, have a mild flavour, which is why they're so popular as a garnish. In this recipe it is used as thickener and a ingredient that adds creaminess.
