Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe - Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf Recipe

Banana bread is my favourite, i make it so often whenever i have some over ripe bananas lying around. I make so many versions of it and have quite a few recipes like banana cupcakes, banana muffins in my blog..

This banana bread has eggs in them and frankly i loved this version more than anything else. It turned out so soft, moist and delicious even though it has got more than 1 hour of baking. The outer part of the banana bread was crusty and golden and inside is so soft and moist.

I added chocolate chips in this banana bread, you could add some walnuts along with the chocolate chips which will make it more tasty.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 mins
Makes : 12 to 15 slices
Recipe Source : Hersheys

All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 cups / 240 grams
Sugar - 1 cup / 200 grams
Banana - 1.5 cup mashed
Chocolate Chips - 1 cup (use milk, semi sweet or dark)
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Vegetable Oil - 1/2 cup / 120 ml
Eggs - 2

(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)

Preheat oven to 180 degree C / 350 degree F.  Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with oil and dust it with flour. Coat it on all sides and set aside.

Sprinkle a tblspn of flour over the chocolate chips and toss well. Set aside.

Take oil, sugar, eggs, mashed banana and mix well.

Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix well.

Add in the chocolate chips and fold gently.

Spoon this into the baking pan and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 mins. Insert a toothpick to check whether the cake is done. If it comes out clean then it is done.

Remove it from oven and cool it in the pan for 15 mins. Now unmould it and cool it down.

Slice and serve.

Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Take all your ingredients

Grease a loaf pan with oil and dust it with flour
Take chocolate chips in a bowl

sprinkle some flour over it

toss well and set aside..this way the chocolate chips will be spread out evenly

I mashed up some ripe bananas using a fork..

Take oil in a bowl..You can use melted butter as well

Add in sugar

Add in eggs

Add in mashed bananas

whisk it well

add in flour
add in baking soda, baking powder and salt

use a spatula to mix well

keep folding gently

now it is well mixed up

add in chocolate chips

fold well

spoon into the loaf pan and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 mins

Now it is done

Cool it down and then slice and serve..I sliced off the crusty top using a serrated knife and sliced into slices

The cake itself was so moist and soft and the chocolate chips in the cake tasted so amazing..
