    Chocolate chip banana bread

Banana bread is my favourite. I make it so often whenever have some over ripe bananas lying around. We make so many versions of it and have quite a few recipes like banana cupcakes, banana muffins in my blog.

This banana bread has eggs in them and frankly i loved this version more than anything else. It turned out so soft, moist and delicious even though it has got more than 1 hour of baking. The outer part of the banana bread was crusty and golden and inside is so soft and moist.

Ingredient for Chocolate chip Banana Bread

    Ripe Banana :

The sole need for creating banana bread is that the bananas are ripe. Its banana bread time when the skins start to develop freckles and the fruits are just a touch too mushy for enjoyable nibbling.

    Vanilla Extract :

Vanilla's effect in sweet baked goods is similar to that of salt in savoury baked goods: it enhances all of the other flavours in the recipe. Cookies and pastries without it tend to taste flat and boring.

    Unsalted Butter:

Some banana bread recipes use oil, but butter works best in this recipe. It also provides more flavor than using just oil. Unsalted Butter control the amount of salt that’s added.

    Baking soda:

Baking soda help this bread rise as it bakes.

    All Purpose flour :

This gives the banana bread its structure. Just make sure to spoon and level your flour when measuring it to avoid having too much.

    Chocolate chips :

Add dark or milk chocolate chip for delicious bite.

I added chocolate chips in this banana bread, you could add some walnuts along with the chocolate chips which will make it more tasty.

How to Make Banana Chocolate Chip Bread

    • Preheat oven to 180 degree C / 350 degree F.  Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with oil and dust it with flour. Coat it on all sides and set aside.
    • Sprinkle a tblspn of flour over the chocolate chips and toss well. Set aside.
    • Take oil, sugar, eggs, mashed banana and mix well.
    • Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix well.
    • Add in the chocolate chips and fold gently.
    • Spoon this into the baking pan and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 mins. Insert a toothpick to check whether the cake is done. If it comes out clean then it is done.
    • Remove it from oven and cool it in the pan for 15 mins. Now un mould it and cool it down.
    • Slice and serve.

Tried this today by substituting maida with atta. I also halved the recipe. Turned out really well. Thanks much for this.
