The recipe is similar to my cold coffee except I added bloomed chia in them. Once u try this, you will crave for this very often.

    About Chia Coffee

Chia is one of the most healthy ingredient you can include in your diet. Usually chia is added in breakfast, milkshakes, smoothies, desserts and puddings. But this chia coffee is my latest addiction. It is a great addition to my morning hot coffee or black coffee.

The ingredient used in this chia coffee is milk, coffee, sugar and chia seeds. You can obviously use honey, maple syrup or agave instead of sugar. And also use any plant based milk instead of regular milk. But it is important to bloom chia seeds before using, since chia absorbs nearly 10 times the water.

Start by blooming chia in water. I usually add chia seeds in a bowl, cover with water and allow it to bloom in fridge overnight. This way I have bloomed chia seeds ready in fridge whenever I need. Now just mix in your regular iced coffee and enjoy.

Coffee - I used instant coffee powder in this recipe but you can add a shot of espresso too. I have made this coffee with instant espresso.

Sweetener of choice - instead of sugar, choose healthy alternative like honey, maple syrup or agave instead of sugar.

Chia seeds - start by using a tbsp of chia seeds, you can slowly increase it as per your need.

I just recently discovered soaking chia seeds into my ice coffee too, so I couldn't help but to Google and see who else does it! Cool that you're sharing it to everyone!

If I'm making up a jar of chia seeds a head of time how much of the bloomed chia seeds do I add to my coffee?
