    Ghee Paratha Recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe containing wheat flour with layers and cooked with ghee is part of the basic indian meal.

    Ghee paratha is my favourite, the flakyness and the aroma of ghee is superb.

    Ingredients for Ghee Paratha

    For Dough:

    • Wheat Flour / Atta - 2 cup + extra if needed
    • Salt - 1 tsp
    • Oil - 2 tblspn
    • Water as needed
    • Ghee for frying and making paratha
    This is a plain version, will share different version of this soon.

    How to Make Ghee Paratha

    1. Start by making dough, take flour, salt, oil in a bowl. rub well so oil is mixed in with the flour.
    2. Add in water slowly and knead to a soft smooth dough. Cover the dough with a bowl and set aside for 30 mins.
    3. Divide it into equal balls.
    4. Take one ball, spread it, apply ghee, fold it, apply ghee again, fold again, spread like paratha.
    5. Pan fry the paratha in hot tawa by applying some ghee on both sides till golden.
    6. Another way of making is, take a ball, spread it, apply some ghee, roll it like a cylinder, now roll the cylinder into a spiral.
    7. Spread it and Pan fry the paratha in hot tawa by applying some ghee on both sides till golden.
    8. Serve with a extra dollop of ghee.

    Ghee Paratha Recipe Step by Step

    First lets make the dough..Take wheat flour in a bowl
    add in some salt
    drizzle in some oil

    use your hands to rub it well
    this makes sure that the oil is mixed in with 
    the flour nicely
    pour in water and start kneading
    add more water as needed
    you should be keep on kneading the dough till you 
    get a soft smooth dough like this
    cover the dough and let it rest for 30 mins..
     
    Now divide it into equal portions..
     
     
    Take a ball
    Roll it into round
    apply a tsp of ghee..
    spread it evenly
    fold it
    spread some more ghee..OFCOURSE WE ARE MAKING GHEE PARATHAS...
     
    fold again
    now time to roll this
    roll it
    put it on a hot tawa and let it cook till the top dries a little
    Flip over, apply some ghee
    flip again and apply some more ghee..DONE
    This is another way of making it.
    spread some ghee
     
    now roll it
    keep rolling
    once it is rolled
    roll like this
    Keep rolling
    now it is rolled
    flatten it lightly
    spread like a chapati
    Placeit on hot tawa and cook till top dries a little
    flip over, apply some ghee
    flip again and apply some more ghee
    cook till golden
    Serve
    Dont forget to top it with some more ghee when serving..
