Indonesian Style Chicken Fried Rice Recipe

This recipe was given to me by my little sissy, who came across this on in facebook. So when we were together few weeks back we tried it and it was delicious.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 10 to 15 mins
Serves: 2


Ingredients:

Oil – 3 tblspn
Chicken – 1 cup cubed
Cooked Rice – 2 to 3 cups
Salt to taste
Sugar – 1 tsp
Soya Sauce – 1 tsp
Lemon Juice to taste
Egg – 2
Coriander Leaves for garnishing

For Grinding:
Shallots – 5 peeled
Garlic – 3 cloves
Dry Red Chillies – 3 to 5

Method:

Take grinding ingredients in a blender and crush lightly.

Now heat oil in a kadai. Add the ground masala and cook till raw smell leaves from it.

Add salt, sugar, soy sauce and mix well. Add in chicken and stir fry and cook till it is done.

Now add in egg and scramble it gently.

Add in rice and toss well. Add in lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.

Serve.

Pictorial:

I ran out of shallots, so i used onion.

Take shallots, dry chillies and garlic in a blender

pulse few times so it is crushed

heat oil in a wok

add ground masala

cook till raw smell leaves from it

add salt

a little sugar

i added some soy sauce as well

add chicken

stir fry and cook

cook till chicken is done

crack eggs in the pan

scramble it gently

mix well

add cooked rice

toss well

add lemon juice and coriander leaves

mix well

    Yummy recipe aarthi. you are doing a great job. have you been to poptates. in sizzlers they give you rice and it loos almost the same. but i guess they add barbecue sauce instead of soya sauce. can it be done?

      Actually, we can make a fried rice without soya sauce. Just leave it, and it also delicious. Just add another condiment like veggie, eggs, sausage, etc
