    Egg Fried Rice Recipe with step by step pictures. This is made with Egg, Rice, Soy sauce and Vinegar. Quick lunch to make and taste so delicious. I have shared Restaurant Style egg fried rice and street food style egg fried rice.

     Egg Fried Rice Recipe

    This fried rice is an instant fix, if you have leftover rice or want to pack a quick lunch for your kids. I have few more version of fried rice, check out here.

    About Egg Fried Rice Recipe

    I have quite a few fried rice recipe in this blog, both veg and non veg. But this is one recipe which i make quite often, it is not traditional fried rice, it is a street food style recipe which i love so much. I have a variation of this recipe in this blog right here..It is so easy to make, if you have some leftover rice, you can make this the next day and enjoy it, somedays i purposely cook a little more rice to make this. I made this today and enjoyed it with pepper gobi which will be my next post.

    Ingredients for Egg Fried Rice Recipe

    • Oil - 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp
    • Eggs - 3
    • Ginger - 1 tbsp minced
    • Garlic - 1 tbsp minced
    • Onions - 1 medium size chopped finely
    • Green Chilli - 4 chopped 
    • Capsicum / Bell Pepper - 1 chopped finely
    • Soy Sauce - 2 tbsp or to taste
    • Vinegar - 1 tbsp or to taste
    • Pepper Powder - 1 tbsp or to taste
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - 1 tsp 
    • Spring Onion a handful finely chopped
    For Cooking Rice:
    • Basmati Rice - 1 cup
    • Water - 1.5 cup
    • Salt - 1 tsp

    How to make Restaurant Style Egg Fried Rice

    1. Start by cooking Rice, Wash rice in lots of water, soak it for 30 mins. Drain it and take it in pressure cooker, cover it with 1.5 cup of water and some salt. Cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself. Now open the cooker and invert the rice to a bowl or plate and fluff it up, let it cool completely.
    2. Now take eggs in a bowl, season with some salt and beat well.
    3. Heat 1 tblspn of oil in a kadai or wok. Pour the egg mix in and scramble it. Once it is scrambled, remove it to a plate.
    4. Now Heat another 1 tblspn of oil in a wok or big kadai. Add in ginger and garlic and saute for a min.
    5. Add in onions, capsicum and green chillies. Saute for couple of mins. Add in salt, sugar and mix well.
    6. Now add in soy sauce, vinegar and pepper powder. Mix well.
    7. Add in cooked rice and toss well. Fry for 5 mins or so. 
    8. Add in cooked eggs and spring onion. Toss once.
    9. Serve hot.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp Oil
    • 3 Eggs
    • 1 tbsp minced Ginger
    • 1 tbsp minced Garlic
    • 1 medium size chopped finely Onions
    • 4 chopped Green Chilli
    • 1 chopped finely Capsicum / Bell Pepper
    • 2 tbsp or to taste Soy Sauce
    • 1 tbsp or to taste Vinegar
    • 1 tbsp or to taste Pepper Powder
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 tbsp or to taste Sugar
    • Spring Onion a handful finely chopped
    • For Cooking Rice:
    • 1 cup Basmati Rice
    • 1.5 cup Water
    • 1 tsp Salt

    Instructions

    Street Food Egg Fried Rice Recipe

    Ingredients for Egg Fried Rice

     
    • Oil - 1 tblspn
    • Onion -1 medium size chopped finely
    • Garlic - 4 cloves finely chopped
    • Green Chillies - 2 finely chopped
    • Eggs - 3
    • Cooked Rice - 3 cups (previous day leftover rice)
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - ½ tsp
    • Ajinomoto a pinch (optional)
    • Dark Soya Sauce - 1 tsp
    • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
    • Spring Onions few tblspn finely chopped for garnishing

    How to Make Street Food Egg Fried Rice

     
    • Heat oil in a wok, add in onions, garlic and chillies. Saute it for a min.
    • Add in eggs and scramble it lightly. Add in cooked rice and fry for couple of mins.
    • Season in salt, sugar and soy sauce. Fry it for 3 to 4 mins.
    • Sprinkle in pepper and toss well.
    • Garnish with spring onions. Serve hot.
