    Layered Mango Panna Cotta Recipe

    I am kind of addicted to panna cotta. I love making them, more over i love how they turn out once they are unmoulded. Just wobly and jiggly. Love it. I have shared few panna cotta recipes in my blog, this is another addition to it. This time it is a layered one, Since it is mango season, i thought sharing this recipe right now is perfect..

    Cooking Time : 15 mins
    Setting Time : 5 to 6 hours

    Ingredients:

    For Mango Layer:
    Mangoes - 3 to 4 medium size chopped
    Sugar - 2 tblspn
    Gelatine - 1 tblspn

    For Vanilla Layer:
    Cream - 1 cup
    Milk - ¾ cup
    Gelatine - 1 tblpsn
    Sugar - ¼ cup
    Vanilla Essence - 2 tsp

    Method:

    For Mango Layer:
    Take 1 tblspn gelatin in a bowl, add in 3 tblspn of water and let them soak for 5 mins. Now heat them on low heat till it is melted.Set aside.
    First make the mango layer, take mangoes in a blender, add in sugar and puree it.
    Add gelatin mix in and puree again. pour this into small moulds and put it in freezer for 30 mins to 1 hour. Let them set.
    Once the mango layer is set, lets make the vanilla layer.

    For Vanilla Layer:
    Take 1 tblspn gelatin in a bowl, add in 3 tblspn of water and let them soak for 5 mins. Now heat them on low heat till it is melted.Set aside.
    Take cream, milk, sugar in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer.
    Now take it off the heat and add in vanilla and gelatin mix. Mix well.
    Pour this over the mango layer and let it set in fridge for 3 to 4 hours.
    For unmoulding, dip the mould in hot water and unmould. Serve.

    Pour the gelatin mix in

    blend once more

    take your mould

    spoon the mango filling in

    I popped it in freezer for 30 mins or so till it is set

    Now the pudding has set, lets make the vanilla layer

    First make the gelatin syrup, like u did for the mango layer

    Take milk in a sauce pan

    add in cream
    Pin
    add in sugar

    mix well

    bring it to a simmer

    add in vanilla

    and the gelatin mix

    mix well

    pour this over the mould
    Pin
    chill this in fridge for 4 to 6 hours

    once set remove from fridge

    dip it in hot water

    unmould

      Hi aarthi...if we dnt Hv gelatin powder can we use readymade gellies which are availabe in mkt for kids in candies form...we can melt it and use its water of jelly.please confirm...also can we use mlaai at place of cream...if yes how much???

      No it wont work. you have to use either gelatin or agar agar

      Planning to make this in a tray for a party. Is it possible to use agar agar in this recipe . If so, can you please give me the measurements and the process for the same. Thanks
