    Moong Sprouts Tikki Recipe with step by step pictures. This is a healthy, tasty and diabetic friendly tikki made with sprouted moong dal which can be served as a healthy snacks.

    Moong Sprouts Tikki

    I had some moong sprouts in my fridge..I was thinking what to make with it. I am not a big of fan of eating it raw, either make salads or some chaat. Have shared the kosambari which i made using this and pomegranate yesterday. Will soon share the chaat which i made.

    Ingredients for Moong Sprouts Tikki

    • Moong Sprouts - 2 cups (Recipe here)
    • Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
    • Coriander Leaves - ½ cup chopped finely
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Gram Flour / Kadalai mavu - ¼ cup or more
    • Oil for pan frying

    Yesterday when i was thinking what to make with it, i decided to make a tikki using it. And instead of grinding the sprouts raw, decided to cook it for couple of mins to get the raw taste from it and then make this tikki. And when i tasted, it tasted just like masala vadai.

    How to Make Moong Sprouts Tikki

    1. Take moong sprouts in a sauce pan and boil it for 2 mins. Now drain it and take it in a blender. Puree till it is smooth.
    2. Now take this mixture in a bowl, add in all ingredients except oil and knead to a smooth dough.
    3. Take small portion, flatten it into a tikki.
    4. Heat oil in a pan, add this and fry till golden on both sides.
    5. Serve hot.

    Moong Sprouts Tikki Recipe Step by Step

    Take moong sprouts in a sauce pan..Recipe here
    add water and cook for 2 mins
    drain this and take it in a blender
    puree it
    make it little smooth, dont add water
    take it in a bowl
    add onions
    coriander leaves
    chilli powder
    add in some salt
    gram flour
    make it into smooth paste
    take small portions
    shape it into a tikki
    all done
    heat some oil in a pan
    pan fry till golden on both sides
    drain
    Serve
