Matar Pulao | Matar Pulao Recipe

Matar Pulao is a simple rice dish made using rice, peas, spices and coconut milk or water.

If you ask me what is the best invention in kitchen appliances glossary is a proper rice cooker. I own a prestige rice cooker which is my best friend in kitchen. This clearly tells me that I should do a separate post for that. I am using my rice cooker from the day we bought it, it has never failed me. Each time it cooks rice perfectly and fluffy.

I have started a new series called as rice cooker recipes in my blog and going to explore all the possible way to use it. This is my first recipe, a very basic and simple peas pulav. This is best served with any hot and spicy curries. I hope you will love it and ask me any questions about rice cooker.

How to Make Matar Pulao in Pressure cooker

    • Follow the complete recipe. But instead of making it in a kadai, use a pressure cooker.
    • for 1 cup of rice use 1.5 cup of water. This is the perfect ratio.
    • Cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
    • Let the pressure release by itself and then open the cooker.
