    Tandoori Roti Recipe

    Tandoori Roti Recipe with step by step picture. This Tandoori Roti on Stove Top is easy to make and is made with Wheat Flour.

    Tandoori Roti

     

    This one is similar to my naan bread, But it has no raising agent. It is normal chapati dough cooked like my naan bread. Love it so much. This is so healthy and had hot with a brushing with ghee or butter. Hope you will try this out and let me know how it turns out for you.

    Ingredients for Tandoori Roti Recipe

    • Wheat Flour / Atta - 2 cup
    • Salt to taste 
    • Water as needed
    • Oil / Butter / Ghee to brush on top (optional)

    How to make Tandoori Roti Recipe

    1. Take wheat flour, salt in a bowl. Add water slowly and make it into a soft dough.
    2. Cover and let it rest for 15 to 30 mins.
    3. Now divide it into equal portion.Take a ball and roll it into oval shape. 
    4. Now take some water and spread it on the top of roti. Now flip the water side down on hot tawa. Flip over and show the other side in flame till black spots appear on top.
    5. Brush the top with some ghee or butter.
    6. Serve hot.

    Take wheat flour in a bowl
    add in salt
    add in water 
    knead it to a firm but soft dough
    cover and let it rest for 30 mins
    now it has rest
    divide it into equal portion
    take a ball
    roll it like this
    take some water
    brush the top
    once the water is applied 
    Place it over hot tawa
    It will just stick to it..
    now invert it and show it on open flame
    Show till you see some black spots on the roti
    You can apply some butter or ghee on top
    serve

      is it required to roll the roti thicker than normal chapathi?

      Aarthi if inverting the tawa brings roti down ....where is the fault??

      @Azhar AliAs soon as you put the roti on hot tawa, you have to show it over flame. if you cook it more time then it will fall off tawa
