Badam Kheer Recipe - Almond Kheer Recipe

This is similar to our badam milk, it is not only easy to make but taste very delicious. It is made with almonds and milk and it is very yummy. Taste yummy when served cold.

Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves: 4


Almonds / Badam - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Milk - 2 cups
Ghee - 2 tsp
Saffron a pinch
Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp 
Cashews, Pistachios - 1/4 cup chopped finely


Soak badam in hot water for 15 mins, peel off the skin and take it in a blender. Add little milk and make it into a smooth puree.

Heat ghee in a nonstick pan, add the puree and cook till it thickens.

Add sugar and mix well.

Add in milk and mix well. Bring it to a boil and simmer for 15 mins.

Now add in saffron, cardamom and nuts. Mix well.

Serve cold.

take almonds in a bowl

add hot water and let it soak for 15 mins

peel off the skin

take it in a blender

add little milk

puree till smooth

heat ghee in a nonstick pan

add almond puree

mix well

cook till it thickens

add sugar

mix well

add milk

mix well

simmer till it thickens, keep on stirring

it will thicken up 

now take it off the heat, add saffron and cardamom

mix well and chill it

Serve cold
