This is one of the recipe which i wanted to try for quite a long time. Finally i made it few days back and it was a super hit. It was little tangy, chocolaty, peanuty and all you want in a slice of cheesecake..
This is a pretty easy to make cheesecake. You just need a handful of ingredients to make this. The more cool thing is you dont need cream cheese to make this cheesecake. So you can easily call this recipe as cheesecake without creamcheese..I used hung curd to make this, i took some thick yogurt and poured in some cheesecloth lined over a sieve and put it in fridge and let it drip overnight, the next day i got the beautiful thick hung yogurt which can be easily substituted for cream cheese.
This cheesecake is so creamy and chocolaty and not to mention really peanuty. This has a buttery oreo crust as the base and a luscious creamy chocolate peanut butter filling. Really yummy.
Setting Time : Overnight
Serves : 8 to 10 servings
Oreo Cookies – 15
Unsalted Butter – 75 grams melted
Hung Yogurt – 1/2 cup ( I used Homemade)
Icing Sugar or Powdered Sugar – 1 cup
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Peanut Butter – 1 cup ( I used Homemade)
Dark Chocolate Chips – 2 cup
Cream – 1/2 cup ( I used amul 25% fat cream)
Chocolate Sauce as needed
Chocolate Vermicelli or Grating as needed
My 1 cup measures 240 ml
Line a 18 cm round baking pan with plastic wrap and set aside.
Start by making crust. Take oreo cookies in a blender and powder them, add in melted butter and mix well.
Spoon this in the pan and press it evenly using a spoon. Chill this in fridge till you need them.
Now take chocolate in a bowl and melt them in microwave or a double boiler on low flame till it is melted. Set aside.
Whip some cream untill it forms soft peaks. Set aside.
Now take hung curd, powdered sugar, vanilla in a bowl and use beater to whip this till creamy.
Add in peanut butter, melted chocolate and whip to mix. Fold in cream and mix gently.
Now spoon this mix over the oreo crust and chill this overnight.
Now remove this carefully from tin using the help of plastic wrap and set aside.
Slice and serve.

|now it is all creamy|
|add in peanut butter|
|cream it again|
|add in melted chocolate|
|whip again till blended|
|add in whipped cream|
|now remove the base from fridge|
|spoon filling in and chill this in fridge|
|now it is all set|
|remove it from mould|
