Butter cake is one of my favourite. Not only it is easy to make, but it taste amazing. I have already shared a butter cake recipe before. I wanted to share a new recipe post for this amazing cake with better pictures. I made mild variation in this cake and still it turned out perfect.

This cake is not only buttery but is so moist and aromatic. Taste delicious with a cup of chai or milk.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 30 to 35 mins
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 3/4 cup / 90 grams
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1/2 cup / 100 grams
Salt a pinch
Unsalted Butter – 110 grams / 1/2 cup
Eggs – 2
Buttermilk or Milk – 3 to 4 tblspn
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)
Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside,
Now take flour, baking powder and salt in a sieve and sift it together. Set aside.
Take butter, sugar, vanilla in a bowl and use a beater to whip it till fluffy.
Now add in eggs and mix well.
Now add in half of the flour and fold gently. Add buttermilk or milk and mix well.
Add remaining flour and fold gently.,
Spoon this into the pan and bake for 30 to 35 mins.
Now remove it and cool it down. Now remove it from pan and cool completely.
Now slice and serve.
