Baked Figs with Orange, Honey Sauce – Topped with Yogurt & Pistachios

Fresh figs is not normally available in my place..When you go shopping one day and you see fresh figs in the shelves, what you do other than picking couple packets of those..As soon as i came home, i decided and made a list of what to make using those. I decided to make a fig jam, fig milkshake, caramelized fig icecream and this..Everything turned so yummy..

This is one of the best and easy desert you can make using figs..These delicious figs turns even more delicious when it is caramelized or roasted..This is so easy to make but the orange and honey butter sauce taste so delicious with this..I roasted these and then topped it with some fresh thick yogurt and chopped pistachios which really made it..

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 10 mins 
Serves: 2 or 3


Ingredients:

Fresh Figs – 6
Orange Juice – from 1 orange
Honey – 2 tblspn
Butter – 1 tblspn
Thick Greek Yogurt as needed
Pistachios as needed finely chopped


Method:

Preheat oven to 220 degree C.

Cut figs into 4, so they open up like a flower. Arrange it in a baking dish

Take orange juice, honey and butter in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil, simmer for 5 mins.

Pour this over the figs and pop it in oven and bake for 8 to 10 mins.

Now remove the hot figs in a bowl and dollop with some yogurt and pistachios.

Serve.

Take all your ingredients
You need some fresh figs
take a fig
cut it like this
arrange it in a baking pan
Squeeze some orange juice in a sauce pan
Drizzle in some honey
add in butter
now lets heat this up
bring it to a boil
simmer till it gets little syrupy
DOne
Spoon this over the figs
like this
Pour remaining syrup in the pan
Bake it
Remove it
Arrange it in a serving plate
Now take some thick greek yogurt
Spoon that in the middle of fig
top with some chopped nuts
Serve
