Yesterday I posted Chicken Tikka recipe which is a dry one…
Today I am posting a gravy version of it..That is Chicken Tikka cooked in a spicy tomato sauce…And my favorite is this one…
The one thing in this recipe is it is a two step recipe…First you have to make chicken tikka and then add that in this lovely sauce…
If you want chicken tikka recipe..Check this..

The main flavouring in this dish is butter…Since everything is done in butter it tasted and smelled awesome…But it is loaded with extra fat and calories…
I know anything fatty is delicious..Right?
I served this dish with Malabar Ghee Rice…And it tasted awesome…
Without any more delay I deliver the recipe…
Ingrediants:
Chicken Tikka (Click here for recipe)
Onion-1 chopped finely
Tomato-3 pureed
Ginger garlic paste-1 tblspn
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Red Chilli powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cilantro for Garnishing
Milk- ½ cup
Butter-4 tblspn
Method:
Heat butter in a kadai…Add in ginger garlic paste, onions and salt..Cook this till golden brown..
Add in Red chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix well..
Pour in tomato puree and cook till oil separates from this..
Add in chicken tikka pieces and pour in some water..
Cover this and simmer for 10-15 mins until all flavour gets together..
Now add in milk and simmer for 5 mins..
Garnish with cilantro and mix well.
Serve with rice or roti.
Pictorial:
Take all your ingrediants
Take your Chicken Tikka…For recipe click here
Melt butter
add in ginger garlic paste
Add in onions
Add salt and mix well
add in chilli powder
add in garam masala powder
Add in tomato puree
cook till oil separates
add in chicken tikka
Pour in water
mix well…
cover and simmer for a while…
add in milk
and mix well…
garnish with cilantro
mix well
Serve…
I know that this looks delicious
You only want some rice to have this
Another click
I made some Ghee rice to go with this..For recipe click this
I had a perfect lunch

What a BEAUTIFUL red color! This I know is delicious!

We're having Chicken Curry tonight but I'm cheating and using a jarred Indian curry sauce I picked up at Whole Foods….no time for homemade tonight. I also have some curry naan from Trader Joe's and basmati rice – I'm excited!

I wish I could have eaten this with you though!!! Love your food!

Is it ok if I dont add milk, because I dont want my chicken tikka to be sweet. I like it spicy.

@Anonymous Yes you could do it, but milk or cream gives you lovely creaminess to this dish
