Broccoli 65 Recipe

Gobi 65 is one of the dish we make in our house more often than anything else. Whenever we buy cauliflower this dish has to be done. Amma insist me to make this always, because this was her favorite. I already have gobi 65 recipe , cauliflower fry recipe too.This time i decided to try it with broccoli and it turned out delicious..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 10 mins + 2 to 3 mins per batch
Serves - 2 


Broccoli - 3 cups cut into small florets

Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tblspn
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tblspn
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
Rice flour / Arisi Mavu - 1/2 cup
All purpose flour / Maida - 1/4 cup
Cornflour / Cornstarch- 2 tblspn
Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice - 1 tblspn
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Water as needed
Oil for deep frying


Now boil broccoli in salted water till it is tender. It will take around 5 mins. Drain and set aside.

Take that in a bowl and add all the other ingredients except oil and mix well.

Heat oil for deep frying, fry the broccoli till it is golden. drain in a paper towel.

Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce or ketchup.

chilli powder

lemon juice

curry leaves


rice flour



baking soda


kashmiri chilli powder

mix well

drop in hot oil

fry till golden

drain it


  1. Thanks for the recipe Aarthi. Myself and kids enjoyed it. One way to introduce difficult veggie like broccoli into their diet. I had a question, if you don't have Kashmiri Chilli powder, can we add more of regular Chilli powder?
