I love granola bars, but i have never shared a single recipe for it in my blog which surprised me. So here i am sharing a simple version of granola bars. This is a honey and nuts flavour. Will soon share other variations of this recipe as well.

This is a no bake recipe and it taste fantastic. It is crisp and chewy at the same time. Love it.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Makes: 10 squares
Rolled Oatmeal or Instant Oats - 1 cup
Flax Seeds - 3 tblspn
Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup
Honey - 3 tblspn
Butter - 1 tsp + 2 tblspn
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Mixed Nuts - 1/2 cup (cashews, almonds and pista)
(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)
Buy Rolled Oats, Brown Sugar & Flax Seeds
Take a square pan, line with parchment paper or foil and grease it lightly with oil or butter. Set aside.
Heat butter in a pan, add chopped nuts and roast till golden, drain them to a plate.
In the same butter, add oats and flax seeds and toast them for 2 mins. Remove them to the plate as well.
Now in the same pan, take brown sugar, butter, honey and mix them well. Bring it to a boil.
Now boil this for 1 min.
Now take it off the heat, add vanilla and salt. Mix well.
Add oats, nuts and toss well.
Spoon this in the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Set this in fridge for 30 mins.
now remove it and slice.
Serve or store it in a air tight container.

|take nuts in a chopping board|
|chop it finely|
|heat 1 tsp of butter in a pan|
|fry till golden|
|remove them to a plate|
|now in the same pan, add oats|
|add flax seeds|
|toast them for couple of mins, remove them to a plate|
|now in the same pan, heat butter|
|add brown sugar|
|bring it to a boil|
|let them bubble for a min|
|take it off the heat, add salt|
|Add in vanilla|
|now it all mixed up|
|spoon this in the pan|
|smooth it out|
|put it in fridge for 30 mins|
|slice them into bars|
