Nutty Shortbread Cookies Recipe - Nuts Shortbread Recipe


Shortbread cookies is delicious buttery and simple cookies which you can make for your little ones. It is very versatile and can be customized to your preference. What i did is i made a double batch of this dough and made a variety of cookies just to show you the different versions, Will soon share all those one by one..

I added nuts in this and made this in a muffin pan. Will soon share the other version of cookies..

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Chilling Time : 1 hour
Baking Time : 15 mins
Makes : 24 cookies

Ingredients:


All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 3/4 cup / 210 grams

Sugar - 1/2 cup / 100 grams (powdered)
Unsalted Butter - 150 grams (soft)
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Salt - a pinch
Nuts - 1 to 1.5 cups finely chopped (any nuts)

(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)


Method:


Preheat oven to 180 degree C / 350 degree F.

Take butter, sugar in a bowl and cream till fluffy.


Add in vanilla, salt and mix well.


Add in flour and mix well to form a dough.


Chop the nuts in to fine pieces.

Sprinkle them in the bottom of the muffin pan.

Take small portion of dough and press it over the nuts.

Pop this in oven and bake for 20 to 25 mins.

Now remove from oven and let it cool for 5 mins.


Remove and cool it on a wire rack completely.


Store in a air tight container.

cream this really well


add salt


add vanilla


mix till creamy


add flour


mix well to form a soft dough

chop your nuts

sprinkle it in the bottom of muffin pan

take a small portion of dough

place it over the nuts

press it evenly

like this

now time to bake

bake till light golden on top

cool for few mins and unmould

enjoy

    1. u can use oil. But the texture of cookies will be a bit diff

    1. if u want to make as normal cookies. then chill the dough for 1 hour, then take a small portion and roll it out. then flatten slightly and bake
