Palada Pradhaman Recipe / Palada Payasam Recipe - Onam Sadya Recipes


This is the milk and sugar ada payasam which i was talking about in my ada pradhaman recipe. I tried this and it turned out quite good actually..Love it so much..So give this a try this onam and hope you will like it..Meanwhile check out my onam recipes too..


Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves : 5 to 6

Ingredients:

Rice Ada - 1/2 cup
Sago / Javarisi - 3 tblspn
Sugar - 1 cup
Milk - 4 cups or as needed
Ghee - 1 tblspn
Cashewnuts - 3 tblspn
Kishmish - 3 tblspn
Cardamom Powder / Yelakai - 1 tsp
Water - 1.5 cup

Method:

Take rice ada, sago in a pressure cooker. Cover it with 1.5 cup of water and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Turn off the heat and let the pressure go all by itself.

Now add in sugar and keep stiring for a good 10 mins till the sugar gets thick.

Now add in milk and bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat.

Add in cardamom powder and mix well.

Fry nuts and kishmish in ghee till golden, pour it over the payasam and mix.

Serve hot, warm or cold.

mix it all the time


now time to add milk


add in milk

some cardamom powder


heat ghee in a pan


add in some cashews and kishmish


fry them for few mins


pour it over the payasam


mix well


done


serve
