Cooking Time : 1 to 2 min per paratha
Makes : 4 paratha

For Dough:

Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1 tblspn + for making paratha
Water as needed

For Stuffing:
Tofu / Soya Paneer  – 1 cup crumbled

Green Chilli – 1 chopped finely
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam -1 tsp
Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder -1 tsp
Chat Masala Powder -1.5 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves / Cilantro for garnishing

Start by making dough, take flour, salt, oil in a bowl. rub well so oil is mixed in with the flour.

Add in water slowly and knead to a soft smooth dough. Cover the dough with a bowl and set aside for 30 mins.

Now make the filling…Take all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Now divide the dough into equal portions and start making parathas..

Take the dough and divide into equal balls. Take two balls and roll it out lightly.

Place one rolled paratha near you, spread some filling over it, cover with other paratha, seal the edges, use a rolling pin to roll the paratha even more.

Heat a tawa, put the paratha on hot tawa, cook for few sec, flip over, spread some oil over it, spread again, spread some more oil over it and cook on both sides till golden.

Remove and serve hot.

Remove to a insulated container and serve with any side dish of your choice..

First lets make the dough..Take wheat flour in a bowl

add in some salt

drizzle in some oil

use your hands to rub it well

this makes sure that the oil is mixed in with the flour nicely

pour in water and start kneading

add more water as needed

you should be keep on kneading the dough till you get a soft smooth dough like this

cover the dough and let it rest for 30 mins..
Now make the filling

take your block of tofu

crumble it like this

take it in a bowl

add grated carrots

add in green chillies and coriander leaves

add cumin seeds

add salt, chilli powder and cumin powder

add chat masala powder

mix well.. filling done

Now take your dough

Divide it into equal balls

take two of you dough balls

roll it out..my lil one want to keep on touching it!

now take one paratha

spoon some filling

spread it

place another paratha on top

seal them

roll it lightly..Dont look at the missing polish on my nail

now put this in hot tawa

flip over

drizzle little oil

flip over and apply oil

flip again and cook both sides really well

  1. Can normal paneer be used

  2. Looks good !! One doubt what happens if we cool the paneer and the make the paratha ? Will it come out if we cook only the paneer filing
