Breakfast Banana Oatmeal Recipe – Caramelized Banana Oats Recipe

Recently i have been having oatmeal in my breakfast a lot. I try to add some fruits into the oatmeal and make it more tasty and enjoyable. This is one recipe which i made yesterday and loved it, so with no more delay i am sharing it..

I used some ripe bananas and for sweetner i used jaggery in this. You can add brown sugar or honey for sweetner. Stay tuned i will be sharing many more oatmeal recipe soon..

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Serves: 2


Ingredients:

Regular Milk or Soy Milk – 2 cup
Instant Quick Cooking Oats – 1/2 cup
Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp
Brown Sugar or Jaggery – 1 tblspn or to taste


For Topping:
Ripe Banana – 1 sliced
Brown Sugar / Jaggery – 1 tblspn
Butter – 1 tsp


Method:

Start by making the caramel. Heat butter in a pan, add in sliced bananas and brown sugar and saute till for 3 to 4 mins till caramelized. Remove this to a bowl and set aside.

Now in the same pan, add in oats, soy milk, cinnamon and brown sugar and mix well. Cook till oats is done.

Now spoon this into a bowl and top with bananas. Serve.

Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients
Take a banana
peel it
Slice it into rounds
Heat butter in a pan
add in banana
sprinkle some brown sugar
mix well
cook till it is caramelized
remove it to a bowl
i added some soy milk in the same sauce pan, you can add normal milk as well
Since this is sweetened soy milk, i didn’t add brown sugar..if you use normal milk add some sugar
now add in some oats
sprinkle some cinnamon
now cook this
Now it is done
Cook till oats is cooked
spoon this into a bowl
top with the bananas
Serve

    How much is 2 cups of oats in grams?

    @Anonymous1 cup of oats is around 90 grams

    I read your recipes almost daily. They are good.

    But one suggestion, you can avoid so much sugar in breakfast. ( oatmeal banana recipe)
