This papaya juice is very refreshing with a hint of lemon taste to it. The sweetness to this depends on your taste and the sweetness of the papaya. If your papaya is honey sweet then you don't have to add any sugar. Instead of sugar you can add honey as well.

    About Papaya Juice

Papaya originated in southern Mexico and eastern Central America, it is very popular in Spain & Asia as well. It is considered to be an exotic fruit. It is typically consumed as it is, but I like to use papaya in my recipes like sunshine juice which has a combo of papaya and pineapples. I have also made papaya jam, papaya salads.

This recipe makes heavenly papaya juice while also providing a healthy dose of nutrients and minerals such as calcium, chlorine, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and so on. This juice has numerous advantages, and it is especially beneficial in the treatment of blood, constipation, and heart diseases.

A sprinkling of lime juice over fresh cut papaya not only adds a welcome zing, but it can also completely eliminate the odour that many people find. You can use freshly cut lime or squirt some from a bottle to save money.

Ripe Papaya - Papaya have a sweet flavour and a creamy texture. It has a softer texture than a melon. Im reminded of a cross between a cantaloupe and a mango, or perhaps a cross between a pumpkin and a cantaloupe.

Sugar - I used sugar in this juice. But instead of sugar, you can add honey or maple syrup.

Lemon Juice - A sprinkling of lime juice over fresh cut papaya not only adds a welcome zing, but it can also completely eliminate the odour that many people find. You can use freshly cut lime or squirt some from a bottle to save money.

how to peel and cut a papaya

Make sure you use ripe papaya for making salads and juices. How do you check the ripeness of papaya? If you take the papaya and press it firmly around the stem area, it should have some softness to it. That means the papaya is ready to cut. Another way is to smell the papaya, it should smell fruity.

If your papaya gets over ripe, it is better for the taste. But it will be tough to peel the skin. So I prefer to cut open a papaya when it is in just right ripeness. If your papaya gets too ripe, cut it open and use a spoon to remove the flesh which is more efficient than peeling and chopping.
