Kiss cookies or blossom cookies are all over the internet, you must have seen them many times too. This one is special because of the flavour combo. The peppermint white chocolate kisses goes perfect with the soft and chewy sugar cookies. These cookies makes great gift hampers for holiday season. The cookies are exceptional to look at because the colourful look. Sprinkle coated cookies topped with the white and red striped candy cane kisses is adorable.

    About Peppermint Kiss Cookies

Kiss cookies also known as blossom cookies is one of the most popular cookie recipe. There are many versions of blossom cookies made, some of the most popular flavour combos are peanut butter, white chocolate, chocolate, turtle, marshmallow and many more. A simple cookie dough is baked into cookies and topped with kisses. Depending on your flavour preference you can make the cookies.

For this recipe I used a basic sugar cookie dough. For fun, I rolled them in sprinkles, you can roll them in coloured sugar as well. It is important to allow the cookie to cool for 2 minutes before placing kisses on top else the kisses may melt too much.

Placing kisses chocolate over slightly hot cookies will melt the base of the chocolate slightly and make them stick to the cookies better. Even though I am calling them peppermint kisses, they are known as candy cane kisses because of the pretty red stripes.

    Peppermint Kiss Cookies Ingredients

Plain flour - like all sugar cookie dough, this one uses plain flour. Wheat flour can be used for healthy alternative but the results may vary.

sugar - I used powdered granulated sugar. Take regular sugar in a blender and powder them. You can even use caster sugar.

Butter - soft unsalted butter is preferred for this recipe. Don’t allow the butter to melt, else the cookie dough may get too runny.

Baking powder - a small amount of baking powder will enhance the spread and provide the chewy texture.

Flavourings - I used pure vanilla extract and salt as flavouring in the cookie dough.

Egg - I haven’t made this cookies eggless, but you can check my eggless sugar cookies for egg free option.

Peppermint Kiss - I used peppermint swirled kiss for this cookies. You can simply leave out the kiss entirely or use any of your favorite variation.

Sprinkles - roll the cookie dough in sprinkle for colourful look. You can use coloured sugar for the coating.

What Makes this Cookies Special and Why you will Love them!

Easy and affordable - the cookie dough is basic sugar cookie dough and doesn’t use any fancy equipments. It is very budget friendly too. Moreover the simplicity of the cookies is what I love about it.

Fun to make - the kiss chocolate in the centre makes the cookies look so pretty and adorable. You can easily whip this up under 30 minutes from start to finish.

Perfect for holiday - the cookie looks so pretty and you can customise it to your needs. Perfect for parties or holidays.
