These are not your jiggly wiggly jello recipe, these are more firm and pick and eat kind of jelly. So it makes a great party dish.

I used four packet of jelly for this, but you can do as much layer as you want. But the creamy condensed milk layer inbetween the jelly makes it more tasty.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 30 mins
Setting Time : 3 to 5 hours
Makes : 20 to 24 slices

Ingredients:

Jelly Packet - 4 ( i used orange, mango, raw mango, strawberry)
Gelatin - 3 tblspn
Cold Water - 1/4 cup
Condensed Milk - 1 can / 400 grams
Boiling Hot Water - 5 cups
Oil a little for greasing the setting tray

Method:

Grease a square pan lightly with oil and set aside.

First take orange jelly packet in a jug, add in 1 cup of hot water and mix well. Pour this into the tray and set it in freezer for 10 mins or untill set.

Now take gelatin in a bowl, add in 1/4 cup of cold water and let it soak for 5 mins.

Now take condensed milk in a bowl, add in 1 cup of hot water and gelatin mix. Mix well till everything is melted. If the gelatin is not melted, heat it gently till it is melted.

Now take the tray from freezer, pour 1/3rd of the creamy mix over it and set it in freezer for another 10 mins or till it is completely set.

Now take strawberry jelly packet in a jug, add in 1 cup of hot water and mix well. Pour this over the creamy layer and set it in freezer for 10 mins or untill set.

Now take the tray from freezer, pour 1/3rd of the creamy mix over it and set it in freezer for another 10 mins or till it is completely set.

Now take mango jelly packet in a jug, add in 1 cup of hot water and mix well. Pour this over the creamy layer and set it in freezer for 10 mins or untill set.

Now take the tray from freezer, pour the final 1/3rd of the creamy mix over it and set it in freezer for another 10 mins or till it is completely set.

Now take raw mango jelly packet in a jug, add in 1 cup of hot water and mix well. Pour this over the creamy layer and put the whole pan in fridge for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.

Now cut into slices and enjoy

Here is a quick video:

Pictorial:
You just need four packets of different flavoured
jelly or jello, gelatin and a can of condensed milk..
I know i put only three packet out there, but i ended up
using one more packet as well..
Start by greasing a square pan with  oil

Bring lots of water to boil, you need a constant
supply of piping hot water

First open a packet of orange flavoured or
any packet of jelly in a bowl

measure 1 cup of hot water

pour it over the jelly

mix well

pour it into the tray

once your have poured

pop it in freezer for 5 to 10 mins,.it will set

Now take gelatin in a bowl

pour over some cold water

mix well..Set aside so it softens

Open up a can of condensed milk and pour it in a bowl of jug

You need a whole can

Add in 1 cup of hot water

add in the soaked gelatin

give it a good mix, till the gelatin is dissolved

now it is all melted. if the gelatin is not melted
heat it gently till it the gelatin is melted completely

take the tray from freezer

Pour 1/3rd of the condensed milk over the jelly

pop it in freezer for 10 more mins or untill the jelly is set

now the condensed milk layer is set..

take another packer of jello..this time i used strawberry

put it in a jug

pour 1 cup of hot water

mix well

pour this over the creamy layer

now that everything is poured
pop it in freezer for another 10 mins

now this layer is set

now pour another 1/3rd of the creamy mix over this

pop it again in freezer and let it set

now this layer is set..i poured the creamy layer before the strawberry has set properly so it kind of melted away..
But this is no issue, it is not going to harm the final product..

now take another flavour..i used mango

open it in

add another cup of hot water

give a good mix

pour this over the creamy layer

pop it in freezer for another 10 to 15 mins

now it is all set

pour over the final 1/3rd of the creamy layer

pop it in freezer for set it

once it is set

i made a batch of green mango jelly

pour it over

chill it in fridge for 3 to 4 hours..Dont chill it in freezer this time..Pop the tray in fridge

now it is set

cut it into squares

look at those layers

so cute, aren't they

Enjoy

  1. Hi aarthie,,, this recipe is just amazing,,, but only thing is that we are not supposed to use gelatin or jelly powder since its made from pig or other animal fat( not halal),,,, i used to make this out of agar only...

  3. For a pack of jello, u are adding 1cup of hot water & pouring this mix on top of chilled jello..........isn't this melt the chilled jello & make the colours mix?????????????

I'm asking this as I had tried your broken glass jelly pudding recipe & at the end the colours were mixed....... I had removed the jellies from fridge & sliced it into cubes as u said....but by that time the jellies started to melt.....when I poured custard mix over it the colours were spread (overlapped) & was not looking gud. Can u give an advice to make it as u shown in the photos....

  5. @Anonymousfor me it didn't melt because of the 1 cup of hot water the jello will set hard and it wont be wiggly. So the water wont melt it down.

  11. Hi Aarthi, I tried this recipe, jello was a wee bit watery and creamy layer stuck to the jello only on one side. Not sure what went wrong since I followed the recipe exactly. I used 240ml cup, is that the right quantity? Please advise
