Cooking Time : 15 mins
Cabbage – 3 cups shredded
Carror – 1 large grated
Oil – 3 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 tsp
Asafoetida / Kaya Podi / Hing – a pinch
Green Chilli – 1 chopped finely
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder / Malli podi – 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar – 1 tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tblspn
Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, asafoetida and let it sizzle.
Add in green chillies and mix well.
Add in cabbage and carrots and saute well. Cook for 5 to 7 mins.
Add in chilli, coriander and turmeric powder and mix well.
Add in salt and sugar and toss well.
Add in lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well.
