Gujarati kadhi is a basic tempered yogurt curry made with basic spices. Kadhi is made with yogurt, besan, spices, seasoning. The main flavouring of the Gujarati kadhi is from ginger and chilli paste.

    Ingredients for Gujarati Kadhi

Yogurt - Use thick yogurt which is slightly sour for more balanced taste in the kadhi.

Gram Flour - like every kadhi you need gram flour to thicken the curry. Whisk gram flour well with yogurt before boiling.

Green Chilli & ginger - used as flavouring in the kadhi which adds a fresh taste.

Oil - you can use regular oil or ghee for making the curry.

Tempering - for tempering spices, I used mustard, cumin, cinnamon, cloves, dry red chillies and asafoetida.

How to Make Gujarati Kadhi (3 Easy Steps)

Pre prep - Take green chilli and ginger in a blender and puree till smooth. Take yogurt, gram flour, the puree and whisk well. Add water and whisk well.
