    Hot Cocoa Recipe

    No one can say no to hot chocolate specially if it is raining and cold outside. I made this on a cold day and a day when I was craving for chocolate and a day when I want some thing hot. Then you all know what will come to my mind..It is this goodness.The flavours just waft through the house as you make it. Specially the smell of cinnamon. Was total heaven.

    I made this a week ago and got some leftover, then I thought of freezing it and have it like ice cream the next day..And believe it or not it was so good. I finished the entire thing by myself. If I think of Christmas the first thing which comes to my mind is chocolate and cold days..If I think of cold days the first thing which comes to my mind is this delicious stuffs. I think this is enough for now.

    How to Make Hot Cocoa at Home

    • Take sugar and cocoa in a sauce pan and mix well. Slowly add in milk and mix well.
    • Put this sauce pan on the stove and heat it up. Add salt, vanilla, cinnamon and mix well.
    • When this starts to boil add in chocolate chips and stir till melts.
    • Now take a sieve and filter this hot chocolate in a jug.
    • Pour this in your  favorite cup and dust with some cocoa and pour some fresh cream on top. Enjoy this with your favorite cookbook.

    Ingredients
      

    • 2 cups Whole Milk
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    • 2 tbsp Sugar
    • ¼ cup Dark Chocolate Chips
    • 1 stick Cinnamon Stick
    • ¼ tsp Salt
    • 3 tbsp Cocoa Powder + extra for topping
    • Whipped Cream for topping

      where do u get chocolate chips from i stay in Bangalore and still dont now were to find them??
      i would love to now which brand cream do you use..??

      @affectionz I buy chocolate chips online from a wholesale vendor..I am not where it will be available in bangalore.

      I always use amul fresh cream for recipes like this and curries..When it come to baking, i mostly use whipping cream powder, which i buy from the same vendor.

      @AnonymousCompound chocolate wont taste good in this, you have to use best dark chocolate for this. You can even try bournville.

      Please tell me some recipes using chocolate syrup. Can we use syrup instead of cocoa powder?
