    About Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Cheesecake is one of the most loved and relished dessert around the world. It is said to be one of the most tried desserts. Making a good cheesecake is not at all complicated, it is easy and decadent.

You can make cheesecake two ways, baked or no bake. Baked cheesecakes tends to be time consuming while no-bake is easy to put together. I love making cheesecakes and have quite a few collection of cheesecake recipes on this blog.

This peanut butter cheese is no-bake recipe and all you need is few ingredients to put together. Making this No bake peanut butter cheesecake takes three simple steps. Make the crust, prepare the filling and finally the chocolate peanut topping.

The crust for the peanut butter cheesecake is made with chocolate chip biscuits and melted butter. The filling is made with peanut butter, cream cheese, cream, vanilla. The topping is made with chocolate, cream, salt and crushed peanuts. I have a version of chocolate peanut butter cheesecake and nutella cheesecake.

    Peanut Butter Cheesecake Ingredients

    ingredients for Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Peanut Butter - For cheesecake, you can use smooth peanut butter for the texture. Smooth peanut butter makes creamy cheesecake. You can use homemade peanut butter.

Cream cheese - homemade or store bought cream cheese is preferred. If you are using homemade, make sure it is thick. Also it is better to use room temperature cream cheese for even mixing.

Biscuits - I used chocolate chip biscuits for chocolate flavour. you can use any flavoured cookies or biscuits. Peanut butter biscuits or digestive biscuits is a great option.

Butter - Use unsalted butter for the crust which adds a buttery texture. You can melt the butter in a sauce pan or microwave.

Icing Sugar - using confectioner sugar for the filling which melts evenly into the filling.

Vanilla Extract - add a splash of vanilla for better flavour.

Cream - I used full fat cream along with the cream cheese for making cheesecake.

    Chocolate Topping for Cheesecake

    chocolate topping ingredients

The topping for cheesecake is very simple, but it adds the decadent chocolate taste. The topping is made with chocolate, cream, salt and crushed peanuts. Make sure you use the best quality chocolate which gives the rich intense chocolate flavour. I like to use couverture chocolate for the topping.

Chop chocolate into chunks and take it in a microwave safe bowl. Add cream over the chocolate. You can place the bowl in a bain-marie or water bath and heat gently to melt the chocolate. Or you can place it in a microwave and melt for just few seconds.

I used toasted peanuts which I crushed in a food processor. I added that into the melted chocolate and drizzled over the cheesecake. This is allowed to set in fridge for few hours so you get clean slices.

You have to line the cake pan with foil and plastic wrap that over hangs. Which will make sure the unmoulding process easier.
