Onion Coconut Chutney Recipe - Onion Chutney with Coconut


Onion chutney takes place in our breakfast menu quite often, since hubby loves it so much. Green Capsicum Chutney
Red Capsicum Chutney
Onion Chutney
Beetroot Chutney

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 10 to 15 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:


Oil - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 3 to 4
Garlic - 3 to 4
Onion - 1 large chopped
Coconut - 3 tblspn
Tamarind a small piece
Salt to taste

For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves a sprig

Method:

Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and dry red chilli. Saute for a min.

Add in onions and cook that for 5 mins or so.

Add in coconut and mix well. Cook that for a min.

Take this in a blender, add salt and tamarind. Grind it to a smooth paste. Take it in a bowl.

Heat little oil in the same pan, crackle mustard and urad dal. Add in curry leaves and mix well. POur this over the chutney and mix well.

Serve.

add little water and make it into a smooth puree


take it in a bowl


in the same pan, heat some oil..add mustard and urad dal


let it sizzle..add curry leaves if you have


pour it over the chutney


mix well


serve
