    Chicken Kebab

I recently tried this and i was kind of addicted to it, because it turned out to be very delicious..It was spicy and juicy and smoky, everything you want a kebab to be.

    About this Recipe

Kebab is a type of cooked meat dish that originated in Middle Eastern cuisines. Many variations are popular all over the world.

Kebabs are made up of cut up or ground meat, sometimes with vegetables, and various other accompaniments depending on the recipe. Although kebabs are typically cooked on a skewer over a fire, some kebab dishes, such as tas kebab, are baked in a pan in an oven or prepared as a stew. The traditional meat for kebabs is mutton or lamb, but regional recipes may include beef, goat, chicken, fish, and
occasionally pork depending on religious restrictions.

What is a chicken kebab called?

Chicken tikka masala. Another tandoori kebab made with marinated cubed chicken in yoghurt and spices.

The marination for this is really simple but the flavours works together great. I love the juiciness of the chicken and the taste is just wonderful. It is tangy and a little spicy from the chilli flakes and the aroma of the coriander leaves was so good. I love the char grill marks you get from the grill pan. YUM.

    Who invented chicken kebab?

The kebab is one of the most versatile dishes ever, having originated in the Turkish kitchen, been brought to India by the Afghans, and later popularised by the Mughals.

Ingredients for Lime And Coriander Chicken Kebabs

    • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast - 2 large cut into cubes ( around 500 grams)
    • Lime Juice - ¼ cup
    • Olive Oil - 3 tblspn
    • Garlic - 6 cloves grated
    • Coriander leaves - 6 tblspn finely chopped
    • Sugar - 2 tsp
    • Red Chilli Flakes - 1 tblspn
    • Salt to taste

    Lime Juice:

Tenderizing steak with acid is easy, and citrus always works. Freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice can give your meat a kick thats ideal for grilling season or Tex-Mex cuisine.

    Garlic :

Garlic has a distinct, pungent flavour that, when raw, borders on spicy and, when cooked, borders on nutty. Sulfur compounds, such as diallyl disulfide, contribute to the mustard-like flavour profile. It loses its acrid raw flavour when dried and crushed into garlic powder, making it ideal for seasoning dishes.

    Boneless Chicken Breast :

Chicken breasts are prone to drying out when overcooked, so they should be cooked quickly over high heat. Cooking chicken breasts in a skillet, stir-frying, roasting/baking, or grilling are the best options.
