Tomato Mint Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
- Oil - 1 tblsp
- Dry Red Chillies - 2
- Tomatoes - 2 chopped
- Mint Leaves - 1 cup
- Tamarind - a small piece
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to tast
FOR SEASONING:
- Oil - 1 tblsp
- Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - ½ tsp
- Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - ½ tsp
- Curry Leaves a sprig
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan,add dry red chillies and saute for a min.
- Add tomatoes and cook till mushy.
- Add in mint and mix well. Add tamarind and mixwell.
- Take it in a blender and add in salt and sugar. Puree till smooth.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and urad dal. Add curry leaves and let them sizzle.
- Add tomato mix and stir.
- Serve with idli or dosa.
