Mango Jelly Recipe - Mango Agar Agar Pudding Recipe

This is a really easy recipe you can make with mangoes and agar agar. It uses fresh mango fruit and along china grass. The pudding taste really fresh and kids will love it for sure.

I used my cute bundt silicone mould to make this. You could pour this in square mould and later cut into pieces. You can even pour into mini cups or any mould as you prefer.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Setting Time : 4 to 6 hours


Mangoes - 4 ripe mangoes
Sugar - 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup
China Grass / Agar Agar - 10 grams
Water - 1 cup to 1.5 cup
Lemon Juice - 1 tblspn


Take china grass and break them into small pieces. Take them in a sauce pan and cover with water. Let them soak for 5 mins. Now heat them on a low heat till it is melted completely. 

Take mangoes and peel them. Cube them and take it in a blender and puree till smooth.

Now take it in a sauce pan, add sugar and heat till the sugar is melted. Now add in the china grass mix, lemon juice and mix well.

Pour this into individual moulds and set them in fridge for 3 to 5 hours.

Unmould and serve.

Take mangoes

Peel them

cut them

take it in a blender

puree till smooth

take china grass in a sauce pan

add water

let them soak for 10 mins

now time to heat this

heat till china grass is melted

now take mangoes in another sauce pan

add sugar

heat gently so the sugar melts

add china grass mix

mix well

add lemon juice

mix well

take your mould

pour it in

pop in fridge

let it set for few hours

now it is done

unmould and serve

    can you plz say me measurement of mago puree in cups and shall i use gelatin instead of agar agar? if so how much?

    1. mango puree is around 2 cups. you have to use 3 tblspn of gelatin

    Does the mango-pulp also have to boil, or is it ok to pour the agar agar solution into luke warm mango-pulp?
