Pardon me for not posting these many days. My friends started to ask me whether I have quit from blogging, How would I NEVER,EVER.

Why I didn post these many days?

My camera got broked. I am taking pictures using my hubby’s samsung s3 mobile, While I start to cook, hubby leaves home to visit his friends. He will be back only after I finish cooking. So I am finding it difficult to take pictures.Sorry guys, I will soon get back to normal.

Today’s recipe is going to a super easy curry which reminds me of my home. Amma makes this often in our house and serve it with dosa, idly or poori. I made this curry thinking of amma. I miss my home so badly. Ok enough worries..Here you go to the recipe..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves : 4

Ingredients:

Oil- 1 tblspn
Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf – 1 tsp
Cinnamon Stick / Pattai – 1 small piece
Onion – 1 large sliced thinly
Tomatoes – 3 large chopped finely
Chilli powder – 2 tsp or to taste
Coriander powder / Malli podi – 1 tblspn
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar – 1 tsp (optional)
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu – 2 tsp
Coriander leaves / Cilantro for garnishing
Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add in fennel seeds and cinnamon. Saute this for 30 sec.

Add onions in and fry them. You can add some salt at this point. Fry the onions till they turn golden brown.

Now add in chilli, coriander, turmeric and garam masala powder and mix well.
Now add in tomatoes and cook till they turn mushy. It will take around 10 mins.
Now pour over some water and simmer for 5 mins.

Now mix rice flour with some water and add that in. Mix well and simmer for 2 mins.

Garnish with coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve with dosa or poori or anything as you like..
Pictorial:
I forgot to take the ingredients pictures. Sorry
Start by frying some onions in oil..
You can add fennel seeds and some cinnamon in oil first..
Fry till they turn light golden
add in chilli, coriander, turmeric and garam masala powder
saute for 30 sec
add in tomatoes
and saute well
cook till oil separates from it..The tomatoes will be
completely mushy now..The paste should look
like a masala
add some salt and sugar
and some water
bring everything to a boil and simmer it
 for few minutes
Now take rice flour in a small bowl

mix it with water

pour that into the curry and simmer it for 2 mins
Add in coriander leaves and mix well
Serve

Excellent recipe..I completely understand how you feel and am sure your missing your mom..A small suggestion just be careful.I know you don't like when he's leaving you alone and going out with hisfriends.Just relax this is going to be a habit forever.Coz guys dont change they need their friends.Dont argue just treat him with respect and just be involved with your hobbies.

remember the sayings of La. Sa. Ra [Lalgudi Saptarishi Ramamrutham] , a tamil writer, when i read your post on Ma.

he said something like "there is only a SINGLE Mom in the whole world. whenever anyone says mom, we always think OUR OWN MOM"

second, i remeber the dialogue in Dil Se(1992) on the most beautiful thing in the whole world is the PALM OF MY MOM.

thanks dear for mixing a bit of feelings in your post. we should feel human to get MOVED/TOUCHED. your posting is just that. it's not JUST A RECIPE.. it's love!

    have a long life dear
