Mango and sago pudding set like a jelly using agar agar creates pretty little cubes. This jelly has little chewy cooked sago scattered all over it. It makes a fun and healthy snack for your kids similar to this ginger milk pudding. This has agar agar as setting agent, this mango sago desert is without that.

    Mango Sago Pudding Recipe

Mango sago pudding is a simple and delicious desert made using sago, mangoes. This is a great summer recipe. I used china grass to set this pudding, you can use gelatin too. Since I used agar agar, this is a natural body coolant.

This is great for kids parties as well, it will become a favourite desert of your kids. I strongly recommend you to try this out. You can even add some tutti fruity for texture.

Mangoes are in season, so you can make this recipe in a jiffy. Make use of the mangoes available now and enjoy this yummy desert.

How to Make Mango Sago Pudding

Mangoes - Use ripe mangoes which are sweet. You can skip the sugar added in this if your mangoes are too sweet.

Agar agar- agar agar is the natural setting agent in this pudding. you can use gelatin in this. use around 2 tbsp of gelatin in that case.

Sago - sago also called as sabudana or tapioca pearls is a wonderful addition, it adds a fun texture and keep everything chewy.

    Pro Tips

    • Cook sago till it is completely transparent. Drain and rinse in cold water to remove excess water.
    • Use ripe mangoes for best taste. Alphonso mango pulp works great. You can use canned mango pulp as well.
    • Adjust sugar as per your taste.
    • Gelatin can be used as well. Use 1.5 tblspn of gelatin instead of china grass. Soak the gelatin in ½ cup of cold water for 10 mins, then heat gently till it is melted and use in the recipe.
    • Serve this cold.
