Chocolate Layer Cake Recipe with step by step pictures. Decadent three layer chocolate cake with chocolate ganache frosting is perfect for any special occasions.
Chocolate Layer Cake Recipe
I made this cake for a birthday party. She told me to make a chocolate cake and it should be really chocolaty. I am happy that I have the best chocolate cake recipe in the world. So I promised her.
This cake is so soft and has a rich chocolate taste to it. I frosted this cake with two types of frosting. I used a simple chocolate ganache to frost outside and cream cheese icing to frost inside, since I had some left over from this recipe. But you don’t have to do that. You can any of your favorite frosting.

Lovely cake Aarthi. How do u bake as three separate cakes? I mean in various racks in a single oven ? Or do u use two ovens? Thanks!
Aarthi
@Praba ArunI have a big oven, i baked two cake at a time, and then i baked the third one after that

Thanks so much for ur prompt reply. So u bake two cakes in a single rack in ur big oven? Also is it ok to rest the third cake batter till one batch is baked? TIA.

Few questions if you could help-
Is the butter used unsalted?
Is the cocoa powder unsweetened?
If I don’t use dark choclate for melting choclate, will it turn out fine?
Aarthi
