Long Green Brinjal Tawa Fry Recipe


Brinjal are my favourite, i make them quite often..My mum simply loves it, it is one of her favourite veggie..These are made with the long green varieties and are so easy to make plus tasty as well... They go pretty much with anything..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves - 2

Ingredients:

Long Green Brinjal - 1 large cut into rounds
Salt to taste
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal podi - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1.5 tsp
Cornflour / Cornstarch - 3 tblspn
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
Water as needed
Oil - 2 to 3 tblspn

Method:

Take all the ingredients except brinjals and oil in a bowl and mix to a smooth paste.

Add brinjals in and toss well.

Heat oil in a tawa and pan fry the brinjals on low to medium heat till golden and cooked.

Remove to a plate and serve

cut into rounds


take salt in a bowl


add turmeric and chilli powder


add in garam masala powder


add in cornflour


add little ginger garlic paste


add in water


and little lemon juice


mix well


add brinjals in


coat them well


heat a tawa with little oil


place brinjals over the oil


fry on both sides on low to medium heat for 3 to 4 mins


remove and serve immediately
