    I try to eat bitter gourd at least once in a month. It is very good for you, specially if you are diabetic. This reduces your blood sugar level a lot than you can imagine..So try to include it in your everyday diet.

    Ingredients for Bitter Gourd Poriyal

    • Oil - 3 tbsp
    • Onions - 1 large sliced thinly
    • Green chillies - 2 slit
    • Bitter Gourd / Pavakkai - 1 large sliced thinly
    • Salt to taste
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Lemon Juice to taste

    How to Make Bitter Gourd Poriyal

    1. Heat oil in a pan, add in onions, bitter gourd and chillies.
    2. Saute this on low to medium heat till it is cooked and well browned..
    3. Now add in salt, chilli powder and lemon juice. Mix well.
    4. Serve.

      One suggestion for you.when u cook bitter guard first fry your bitterguard then in the middle add onions.otherwise bitter guard won't cook properly.
