Panna cotta's are very new in my life. When i came across this, i wondered why i didn try it for these many days. Because i am fan of puddings. It can be made with whole lot of stuffs, you can add anything in it starting from chocolates to any fruit juices. I have a  plan to make a chocolate panna cotta too..Will post as soon as i am done with it.

Yesterday when i was organising my pantry shelf, i found a can of Red Cherries. I thought of make a panna cotta using that, but i want something lighter to go with that, so i made a vanilla based pudding and poured it over the cherry pudding. And as a surprise it both went so well together..Cherries are great for this, because of the lovely colour it provides to the pudding. These cherries has its own flavour and taste to it...

    Ingredients:

    Canned Red Cherry-  1 cup
    Gelatin - 2 tsp
    Heavy Cream –1 ½ cup
    Sugar – ⅓ cup
    Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
    Water – 3 tblspn
Pista – 3 tblspn chopped for garnishing
    Method:
Soak gelatin in water for 5 mins. Heat it gently on medium flame stirring often till everything is dissolved. Remove and set aside.
Take cherry in a blender. Add sugar and ½ of cream and make into a fine puree. Now add ½ of gelatin in this and blend it well.
Pour this over the mould till half way and keep in the fridge or freezer for 30 mins or till it is set.
Now make the vanilla pudding. Take cream, sugar and vanilla in a sauce pan and heat it up. Now Add the remaining ½ of gelatin mixture and mix well.
Pour this over the cherry pudding and keep it in the fridge for 4 to 5 hours or overnight
When it is set use a knife to leave the sides and unmould it carefully. You can dip the bowl in hot water for few sec to release the sides.
Place it on a plate and sprinkle with pista and serve cold.

I recently went on a trip to Disney World and at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's restaurant, Boma, in the dessert section of their buffet I tried panna cotta for the first time. It was a passion fruit flavor. It was amazing. I would have never thought to make my own until now. You make it look so easy. Can't wait to try this flavor as well as others. Yummy!
